MCP quickstart

Open Connect your agent for guided setup, or choose your client below. You need a NinjaChat account and a client that supports remote MCP servers.

In Claude web, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
Name it NinjaChat and paste this URL:

https://www.ninjachat.ai/api/mcp

Sign in to NinjaChat, review permissions and set your spending limit.
Start a new chat and enable NinjaChat. Your account or workspace must allow custom connectors.

On ChatGPT web, enable Settings → Security and login → Developer mode.
Open Plugins, select +, and name the connection NinjaChat.
Under Connection, enter:

https://www.ninjachat.ai/api/mcp

Connect, sign in to NinjaChat, and approve access. Add NinjaChat from the tools menu in a new chat.

Availability depends on your account and workspace. See OpenAI’s connection guide.

Create a connection key in Developers → Agents. Replace nj_sk_YOUR_KEY with the entire key, then run:

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user ninjachat https://www.ninjachat.ai/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer nj_sk_YOUR_KEY"

Start Claude Code and run /mcp to check ninjachat. This setup applies to all your projects.

Check the connection — free

Use NinjaChat to check my balance and list available image,
video and voice models. Do not generate anything or add credits.

Make your first creation

Use NinjaChat to make one image of a lighthouse in a storm,
with golden light through a wave. Check my balance, quote the
model and total price, and wait for approval before generating.
Return the finished image and download link.

Then try “animate this image” or “write and quote a voiceover for this scene.” Video jobs can take several minutes; ask your agent to check the existing job instead of starting again.
